Inspired by true events, All the Colors in My Darkness is a mind-bending psychological horror feature set in the 1970s against the backdrop of a highly-controversial underground psychotherapy movement that used age regression and psychedelic drugs to access a patient’s subconscious.
All the Colors in My Darkness draws from modern horror like Get Out and Midsommar as well as the classic horror of Rosemary’s Baby and The Shining, using atmosphere and dread to escalate the tension before erupting into a shocking and surreal final revelation.
All the Colors in My Darkness evokes and disturbs, but it uses its genre setting to explore the emotional extremes of flawed, relatable characters. Visually arresting, rooted in psychology, and full of suspense, the film intimately examines the struggle for self-determination that we all strive for in our lives.
